Step Up
In our current language unit, students are reading about and thinking about causes that lead them to "step up" and take a stand on important issues. Some titles include "The Nest", "Universal Soldier", and "Resisting Hitler". Eventually, 7W students will form small groups and design their own workshops for younger students. These workshops will be designed to change student behaviour in a positive way (ie. respect the environment, stop bullying, don't smoke,....).
Little Brown Bag Of Me
This is our first language project. Each Student will choose 7 things to talk about that will help the rest of us get to know him/her. They will decorate a paper bag to reflect some aspect of their personalities. Inside the paper bag they will include 7 objects that help as visual aids in their discussion. They will present this project in front of the class. A paper bag and assignment sheet have been sent home.
