Fluids
Cohesion, adhesion, surface tension, viscosity. Those are just some of the topics of our Fluids unit. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with the properties of fluids and use the Particle Theory to explain their findings. At the end of the unit, students will design and build a toy based on fluids and present it to the class.
Welcome to Science, 2012
Welcome to Intermediate Science. We begin with a look at what you will need, what is expected of you, what you will study, and how you will be evaluated. Then we will discuss some science vocabulary and equipment. You will be expected to use this vocabulary and the proper names of equipment this year.
Cell Models
Check out the great cell models that our grade 8 students made during their unit on Cells. Many, like these ones, were actually edible, having been made of Jell-O, cake, and candy. Science sure can be tasty.......well, some of the time.
